A Pacific Nod to the Lady in the Green Dress

This piece was inspired by Tamara de Lempicka's painting The Lady in the Green Dress and my love for the geometric forms and flowing designs of the Art Deco era.

The portrait is from a series of photographs of my cousin Charlene Tedrow, an amazing dancer and choreographer. The concept behind this painting was to use an iconic European painting of a female portrait and portray that same elegance and grace from a Pacific female lens.
